What Frank McCourt Could do to Show He’s Sorry

Frank McCourt has gone on a lot of shows lately, talk show, TV shows, radio shows, telling Dodger fans that he’s sorry and that he’ll change his ways but we’ve yet to see any action so if he truly wants to show he’s sorry, these are the things that he needs to do.
- Sell your houses and give the money back to the Dodger fans by putting it in the team like you should’ve.
Last I could find, he (and his wife) owned 7 houses, 2 private residences and were building two more.
- Stop charging Dodger Stadium rent and make it public that you have done so.
Simple enough. This is an egregious thing to do and I know of no other MLB that does this.
- Extend our franchise players.
This should’ve been done in the off-season just like what was done with Chad Billingsley but Matt Kemp, Clayton Kershaw, and Andre Ethier need to be locked up, if we lose any of those guys, I will be one sad Dodger fan.
- Lower ticket prices
You’ve been fleecing us with ticket prices the last few years because of your outrageous personal spending habits and not putting the money that you take from the team into the team.
- Sell the team
Lastly, even after all that, we still won’t forgive you but we won’t hate you. We don’t want you here anymore, you’ve not only proven you’re a bad owner but a bad business owner and we feel we’d be best divorcing you.
The Dodgers Owner Won’t Shut Up
After being silent for the majority of 7 years as Dodger owner, stealing our money, raising our ticket prices, charging Dodger Stadium rent, and giving away prospects on the cheap because he didn’t want to pay the extra $1-2 mil now that Frank McCourt will have someone in his grill all the time seeing if he’s being dirty or not he wants to speak.
Frankly Frank (pun intended) I’m tired of it.
You’ve lost us, the fans of Los Angeles are forgiving at times but not after something like this, before we just thought you were just a cheap owner but now we know you’re even worse than that, a crook, a cheat and unsavory. As one Dodger fan so loving put “He’s such a d***e pretty much saying he’s going to fight to keep this team and that Selig is un-American for taking something that doesn’t belong to him?? wtf dude?? You can’t pay your own players, you don’t give a crap about the fans, you don’t bring in any good players. I can’t even imagine what goes through this guy’s head.”
That’s the sentiment I feel is shared by a lot of Dodger fans today McCourt is looking for sympathy where there is none, he’s knocking at Selig’s door and won’t be let in he think of the Dodgers as a business rather than the storied franchise that it is. At this point, I’d rather have Fox back, at least they seemed to care.
The fact is, the Dodgers are one of those teams that you own only if you love the team, you can’t come in thinking that “Oh, I’ll buy the Dodgers and make some money.” No, it’s like the Lakers, Jerry Buss didn’t buy the Lakers to make money, he bought the Lakers to win, to carry on the storied tradition and the Dodgers are that type of team.
McCourt says that Bud Selig has a “predetermined” agenda, that he wants the team out of his hands and sold to another, which I think is only part of Bud’s thinking. If he hadn’t shown that he couldn’t be trusted in the past, then this wouldn’t be happening, point blank Frank, you’ve not only burned your bridges, you put TNT on the struts and blew it to bits with no chance of repair, we as Dodger fans are done with you and it will be a party in DodgerTown when you are gone.
Random Dodger News

OF Xavier Paul has been picked up by the Pittsburgh Pirates and will play a bench role for the team.
I wish him the best of luck, it seems the Pirates are our dumping ground for minor leaguers who haven’t reached the potential we thought they had, James MacDonald, Andy LaRoche, Delwyn Young, and they even have former Angel Brandon Wood. I guess when you’re a franchise muddled in mediocrity, you’ll try anything.
Andre Ethier’s hitting streak has hit 24 games. It is now the 4th longest streak in Dodger history and the longest for a Dodger since Paul LoDuca’s 25 back in 2003. The longest streak was 31 by Willie Davis back in 1969 so he has a way to go to be the top Dodger.
Ethier looks great and looks like the guy we all loved last year, without the power though but he’s seeing the ball well and getting hits and has been a huge catalyst that the Dodgers offense has gotten behind. When Furcal gets back, I hope to see Ethier driving in more runs and more Jamey Carroll at 2B.
Which brings me to…
Casey Blake will be headed to the 15 day disabled list with an infected left elbow.
This is so sad, he was hitting well and is a great leader in the club house. I wasn’t sure how he’d do batting 2nd but he’s done well in that role and has scored quite a few runs. His production, defense and leadership will be missed hopefully this is the last setback for him this season and I never thought I’d say this we need him.
How is Bud Selig Able to Take Control of the Dodgers?

What is this “Best Interest of Baseball” clause? How did Bud Selig use it to sell the Texas Rangers to Nolan Ryan and his group and how is he using it to take over the Los Angeles Dodgers now? This is what it says in the Major League Baseball Constitution which was amended in June 2005.
Sec. 2. The functions of the Commissioner shall include:
(b) To investigate, either upon complaint or upon the Commissioner’s own initiative, any act, transaction or practice charged, alleged or suspected to be not in the best interests of the national game of Baseball, with authority to summon persons and to order the production of documents, and, in case of refusal to appear or produce, to impose such penalties as are hereinafter provided.
(c) To determine, after investigation, what preventive, remedial or punitive action is appropriate in the premises, and to take such action either against Major League Clubs or individuals, as the case may be.
and
Sec. 3. In the case of conduct by Major League Clubs, owners, officers, employees or players that is deemed by the Commissioner not to be in the best interests of Baseball, punitive action by the Commissioner for each offense may include any one or more of the following:
(a) a reprimand; (b) deprivation of a Major League Club of representation in Major League Meetings; (c) suspension or removal of any owner, officer or employee of a Major League Club; (d) temporary or permanent ineligibility of a player; (e) a fine, not to exceed $2,000,000 in the case of a Major League Club, not to exceed $500,000 in the case of an owner, officer or employee, and in an amount consistent with the then-current Basic Agreement with the Major League Baseball Players Association, in the case of a player; (f) loss of the benefit of any or all of the Major League Rules, including but not limited to the denial or transfer of player selection rights provided by Major League Rules 4 and 5; and (g) such other actions as the Commissioner may deem appropriate.
This part of the rules that an owner agrees to and swears by when he buys a baseball team. Consequences. Unfortunately for Frank, who plans to sue Major League Baseball, as soon as a judge sees this clause, he will throw it out, he has no grounds for a lawsuit, he agreed to this and he must abide by it.

Dodgers Owner Frank McCourt is Upset!

“Un-American!” is what McCourt calls baseball stepping in and overseeing the Dodgers finances. Right now McCourt can’t even get a call back from Bud Selig and when he showed up in person, he got a second level crony and told that he couldn’t see him.
I think McCourt is really taking this out of context, he’s still the owner of the Dodgers the only thing that’s different is now he has to let Tom Schieffer now when things are happening and Frank if you have nothing to hide, you don’t get upset when you’re uncovered but since you are screamin’ mad and beggin’ it lets me know you can’t be trusted.
It’s obvious, Selig doesn’t trust him and has gotten enough evidence together that he felt this had to be done. The thing is, the last two times he’s done this, with the Expos (now the Nationals) and the Texas Rangers, it’s really helped the franchise and gotten them back on the right track so I fully trust him in this endeavor that the Dodgers will return to national prominence.
Lastly, I don’t trust him, he’s shown himself untrustworthy and him asking us for a second chance ain’t happening, because we’ve given him a second, third, fourth chance and we’re done, like R-Kelly said “When a woman’s fed up, there ain’t nothin’ you can do about it” and we’re fed up McCourt, and there ain’t nothin’ you can do about it!
